После пяти месяцев ожидания вышел второй из четырех спецвыпусков «Времени приключений» — «Обсидиан». Если первый был успешным бенефисом БиМО в космосе, то на этот раз мы возвращаемся в земли Ууу, чтобы чекнуть, как дела у главной пары всего мультсериала — Марселин и Жвачки.
«Обсидиан» шикарен буквально по всем параметрам. На экране теперь уже официальные отношения принцесс вампиров и Конфетного королевства, которые ходили вокруг да около на протяжении всего мульта. Зрителям, наконец, покажут истоки Марселин — персонажа, который занимает второе место на чемпионате по выдавливанию слез (после Ледяного короля). И раз она истинная рокерша, спешл наполнен песнями, под которые хочется танцевать, даже если они без ножа режут таких персонажей как Жвачка.
В отличие от «БиМО» фокус нацелен не на расширение мира «Времени приключений», а на его раскрытие. Земли Ууу получили долгожданный апдейт — Стеклянное королевство, которое интересно не только своей историей, но и объемными героями, которые западают в сердечко с первых минут. Вишенка на торте: камео тех, по кому так сильно скучали — от Саймона Петрикова до Финна.
Теперь сфокусироваться на самом прекрасном в этой серии — фансервисе и морали.
Создатель мультсериала Пендлтон Уорд придумал насыщенный мир с запоминающимися персонажами, уровень глубины и драматичности которых просто зашкаливает, несмотря на то, что перед нами вроде бы детский мультик. Поэтому в фундаменте новых 45-минутных эпизодов «Далеких земель» не было «что-то случилось то, поэтому нужно кого-то спасти», а герои вроде Марселин и Жвачки, БиМО, Мятного лакея, Финна и Джейка. Они основа всего происходящего, поэтому нам все время хочется добавки (в любом виде и побыстрее).
Что такое фансервис в случае «Времени приключений», очевидно — просто покажите нам как можно больше любимчиков. Добавьте сюда отсылки к важным сюжетным моментам, возвращение второстепенных персонажей вроде Рифмо-Гуся, раскрытие новых деталей о старых вещах вроде майки, в которой так любит спать Жвачка. Наличие фансервиса вполне ожидаемо — вся серия спецвыпусков «Далекие земли» на это и нацелена.
В случае спешла про БиМО фансервис сфокусировали на нем одном, чтобы выкрутить главные фишки персонажа на максимум и напомнить зрителю, за что он любит очаровательного робота. Но там все происходило в космосе, поэтому все, кроме главного героя, были незнакомцами и щекотать фанатов было особо не за что. В «Обсидиане» же история возвращается домой, и одностраничное меню фансервиса разрастается на несколько листов. Создатели спецвыпуска решили заказать вообще все, но главное блюдо — отношения Марселин и Жвачки, которые, наконец, стали полноценной парой, а не просто friends with benefits.
Фанатам несомненно было интересно, как у принцесс сложится совместная жизнь. Если бы создатели «Обсидиана» пошли по скользкой дорожке фансервиса в лоб, то
принцессы, наверно, целовались бы всю серию в попытках повторить свой звездный момент из финала «Времени приключений». Но здесь фансервис лишен негативной коннотации — нам не пытаются впихнуть что-то лишнее просто, чтобы было. Принцессы уже получили свой счастливый финал, им не нужен второй. И огромное спасибо создателям спешла за то, что они это понимают.
«Время приключений» часто прибегало к приему ретроспекции, когда новые события меняют взгляд на старые. «Обсидиан» умудрился повторить выкрутасы Уорда, когда, например, мы узнали трагичную судьбу Ледяного Короля, в свете которой он внезапно оказался мучеником, а не злодеем. Сюжет спецвыпуска отправляет нас в начало отношений Марселин и Жвачки вплоть до их первого подмигивания и первой ссоры. Оказывается (сейчас будет спойлер, но он не испортит вам просмотр), что она случилась еще до начала основных событий сериала. То есть все те долгие десять сезонов зрители наблюдали не за тем, как две принцессы постепенно друг в друга влюблялись и находили общий язык. Нет, все это время они восстанавливали разбитую любовь.
Здесь мы плавно перейдем от фансервиса к морали эпизода, потому что все, как обычно, переплетено. Прелесть мира Ууу в его вседозволенности (в хорошем смысле), поэтому для повествования всегда можно найти максимально прозрачную метафору (если хочется, конечно). Так и случилось в случае «Обсидиана»: обитатели Стеклянного королевства очевидно олицетворяют, насколько мы все хрупки. Каждый раз, когда на экране показывают кого-нибудь из них, страшно, что он вот-вот разобьется. А местный непризнанный герой Стеклянный парень ходит с трещиной на голове, за которую его все высмеивают.
Даже не смотря сам выпуск, можно догадаться, какой будет мораль: не надо скрывать свои недостатки и бояться показать свои сколы миру. Эта мысль в последнее время все актуальней, но она далеко не нова: в Японии есть древняя культура чинить разбитые вещи золотом, которое подчеркивает трещины, потому что они делают предмет уникальным и прекрасным. К ней же отсылались в последнем сезоне «Коня БоДжека», когда Диана переживала, что никто не сможет ее полюбить, потому что она такая поломанная.
За что хочется выразить отдельный респект создателям «Обсидиана»: они не пытались «починить» персонажей, таким образом намекая, что они изначально не были «поломанными». Хоть раньше мы и говорили, что спецвыпуск фокусируется на отношениях принцесс, в нем все-таки есть легкий уклон в историю Марселин. Из двух девушек она — та, которая не может пережить свои старые травмы и раскрыться миру. Нам показывают, откуда растут корни ее персонажа и внутренних горя/злости/боли, но это то, что ей было необходимо вспомнить, а не исправить. Та сторона характера, которую она боялась признать всю свою жизнь, оказалась лишь оболочкой, натянутой на теплую и мягкую сущность, сидевшую внутри все это время.
Все мы хотели посмотреть, какими будут отношения Марселин и Жвачки — желание исполнено. Одна так и осталась контроль-фриком с диктаторскими наклонностями, а другая хоть и поборола внутреннюю злость, но не перестала ее опасаться. Несмотря на это, они прекрасно уживаются вместе в начале серии. Возвращение в Стеклянное королевство заставит их вспомнить то, из-за чего они расстались в первый раз (мини-спойлер: из-за драйвовой, но обидной песни Марселин), и это, конечно, заставит их любовь пошатнуться. Но как и в случае принцессы вампиров, внутри их отношений сидит нечто теплое, мягкое и вечное, что не даст им расстаться. Да, они уже получили свой финал в последней серии десятого сезона «Времени приключений». Но «Обсидиан» в пример идеального фансервиса дает нам понять самое важное: Марселин и Жвачке удастся этот финал сохранить. Поэтому мы можем со спокойной душой порадоваться за них. И отпустить.
Лучше просто некуда.
